The author is an expert in teaching automotive material having taught at the high school, junior college and university level. This book currently required reading for his Automotive 100, Automotive Technology and Maintenance for the Consumer, students. In addition, he has been a product trainer for a major luxury car manufacturer, literally teaching service technicians. Mr. Vinci’s background includes 22 plus years of automotive experience, including hands-on experience performing regular service, repair and emissions testing in independent service facilities. He has completed his Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology and Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering and is a Master ASE Certified Technician. His experience also includes working as a Field Technical Specialist for a major luxury car manufacturer diagnosing difficult to repair vehicles. He is currently the Parts and Service Director at one of the largest volume luxury car dealerships in the country. Most importantly to this consumer guide, he is a son, husband and father giving the same advice to you that he would give his mother, wife and children.
