Soul Dead And Green Eyes – A Kellaran Fantasy – USA Measurements Edition by Wayne Edward Clarke

He was a 13 year old boy, she was a 16 year-old elf.. Both of their families were killed by an evil army. They knew they would probably die if they sought vengeance, but they had nothing else to live for.

This is the first fantasy novel that I've written for most fantasy fans. My previous ones are well-loved, but they're not the usual fantasies. Anyone who likes fantasy should love this book!

He was a human boy almost thirteen years old, she was an sixteen-year-old elf with barely enough magic to lift an apple. Both of their families were killed by an evil army, commanded by an evil king. They knew they would probably die if they sought vengeance against such an overwhelming force of enemies, but they had nothing else to live for.

This is the first fantasy novel that I've written for the majority of fantasy fans. My previous fantasies are well-loved by my fans, but they are very unusual compared to most fantasies, and some fantasy fans objected. But anyone who likes fantasy should love this book!

Uses USA Standard units of Measurement. There is also a Metric (SI) edition available.

About Wayne Edward Clarke

Over the last fifteen years I've spent most of my intellectual and creative energies in writing sciences fiction and fantasy novels. I’ve been a hard sci-fi fan my whole life, but everyone else I know who’s an avid reader are all fantasy fans. Over the years I’ve borrowed all their books, and learned to love that genre as well.

My science fiction influences include the old masters; Heinlein, Asimov, Niven, Bradbury, Clarke, etc. Also William Gibson, Iain M. Banks, and Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. My favorite relatively unknown author is Daniel Keyes Moran, and if you like sci-fi you should read his Continuing Time trilogy; Emerald Eyes, The Long Run, and The Last Dancer. They might be out of print, but I think you can still get them as ebooks online.

My fantasy influences include Raymond E. Feist, David Eddings, and Jaqueline Carey.

I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on Sept 21, 1963. I'm estranged from my father, having met him one since I was a toddler. I've lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada since 1980. I have three brothers and a sister. My sister is married, she and her husband each have two grown sons. All of us and my mother live in Calgary and are quite close.

I'm intensely and compulsively self-educated, I read at about 300 words per minute, and I've increased my IQ to about 160.

I've always enjoyed inventing and designing machines. Most of the machines I've designed are new types of vehicles.

I was a professional musician for about nine years. My musical skills include lead and harmony vocals, most styles of guitar and bass guitar, some drums and keyboards, songwriting, mixing, and production.

I spent about fifteen years researching and designing a comprehensive change in society and culture that will solve all the world’s major problems, guided by the principles of bio-sociology as introduced and developed by Prof. Edward O. Wilson, and influenced by Dr. Desmond Morris’ human sociobiology. I haven't worked on it like a fanatic over the last eight years like I did for the previous fifteen, but I have continued to develop my work in this field.

I’ve also been influenced as a fiction writer by my sociological work, and my science fiction novel People Of The Tiger (and the rest of The Rational Future Series) is set in a utopian future where my social policies have been implemented, which is a good way to get those ideas out into the public consciousness.

Much of my social thinking permeates my fantasy novel Blessings Of A Curse as well, though it’s a lot harder to notice there. I’ve also included my ideas on the law and legal reform in that book, though those policies were appended to the back of the book in an excerpt, for the sake of smooth readability.

Joy and Sorrow: The life story of an Exclusive Brethren survivor by Joy Nason

Joy and Sorrow is the true story of a young woman who escapes from a religious cult in Australia in the 1970s. She subsequently does her best to build a life for herself, knowing she will never have contact with her family again.

In her memoir Joy and Sorrow, Joy Nason takes us into her world of humble working class origins. Born in the UK during WW2 into a fundamentalist Christian cult of the Exclusive Brethren, (EB) her family migrated as economic refugees to Australia in the 1950s.

Joy was one of eight children brought up in the strict world of EB until her early 20s when she made the courageous decision to flee the restrictions and demands of the church. The decision was not easy as she left home knowing that she would be cut off from contact with her parents and other family members from that moment on.

Yet her story is full of surprising optimism in the face of terrible odds - starting from scratch, Joy had to learn live alone 'in the world' with no family support. Even though she was finally away from the Brethren faith, her fear of their retribution kept her awake at nights with nightmares for many years.

And so, Joy slowly but surely made her way in the world, with work stints with kind employers who encouraged her to gain skills, to friends who helped her with socialising, travel and new-found enjoyment of life. Through many jobs and disappointing liaisons that didn't last, to finally becoming a mother of a baby boy, Joy picks herself up after each failure and faces the world with determination and a positive attitude.

Overcoming her trepidation, Joy entered the world of higher education that denied her by her sect and attains teaching degrees, first at TAFE and then at university level preparing her to become Senior Head Teacher of Administration Studies at Ultimo TAFE, all the while juggling the upbringing of her young son.

Having absented herself from any contact with the EB sect for many years, Joy finally determines to "come out" to join the human rights protests being made by investigative journalists, documentaries and other exiled EB members telling their story. In doing so, Joy finds the support of a great many others who have each suffered as she did and together, they create a network to reach out to those who need it.

Joy made the decision to go public with her life and experiences with the EB, not only to give inspiration to young innocents who may be trapped in similar situations but to add to Media exposure of the hypocrisy of the EB in the new public persona they have devised in order to maintain their Charitable status and keep their tax-free millions.

Babies are not born as good or bad sleepers, they become that way.

In Your Sleepless Baby, Rowena Bennett describes medical, developmental and behavioural reasons for babies who experience broken sleep, trouble falling asleep and unusual sleeping patterns.

Rowena challenges the western practice of medicating distressed, overtired babies simply because their behaviour is misunderstood. She also dispels common misperceptions about bed sharing, sleep training, and what it takes to support a child's emotional development.

To encourage a baby to become a "good sleeper" parents must support them to self-regulate sleeping patterns and stabilise their baby's internal body clock. Fail to provide the right support and you might find that promoting sleep and contentment becomes an exhausting and never-ending battle.

Babies are individuals and each family is unique. Solutions that what work for one, may not work for another. Rowena explains ways parents and caregivers influence their baby's sleeping patterns and behaviour... for better or worse.

No matter what your preferred style of parenting, in Your Sleepless Baby you'll find a drug-free solution to match.

About Rowena Bennett

Rowena Bennett is a registered nurse and midwife. As a result of herself experiencing the demoralising effects of post natal depression, she wanted to help others who found the early years of parenting a struggle. She then trained as a mental health nurse, a child health nurse and a lactation consultant.

Rowena enjoys a high success rate with her clients and gets a great deal of pleasure assisting parents to resolve complex baby and toddler care problems. She knows there are many more people out there desperately searching for answers to their child's eating or sleeping problems.

Rowena lives with her husband Bruce and their dog Ruby. They have three grandchildren who visit regularly and they love being grandparents!

The ascendant is the foundation of every chart, in this book each ascendant has at least 10 pages of explanation. It reveals the unique nature of each person, shown by the psychology of each planet. "Before we can effectively use Yogas, judge transits and use other advanced methods, our foundation must be strong and rooted in the firm soil of understanding. That understanding begins with the ascendant and planets as house lords. Once rooted in this fertile soil, advanced methods become clarified and the tree of Jyotish can grow. This allows our practice to be a shelter of truth and clarity to those who seek our guidance." - Excerpt from "The Ascendant"
